Charlie Galloway

I am an amateur nature photographer living in Waterford in the south of Ireland.  I have always been interested in wildlife and the natural world and as a child and teenager went for long walks and cycle trips mainly in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains.  In recent years I have been lucky enough to be able to travel regularly.  My favourite places are in Northern Europe.

My first camera was a Practica which I brought hill walking with me.  I thought it would be nice to try to photograph some of the wildlife that I saw but soon realised that I would need a long lens to get reasonable images. 

I have missed lots of opportunities sometimes because I have not had my camera with me and sometimes because I have chosen just to remain still and watch events unfold in front of me.  These memories are as important as the images.

I have had enormous pleasure taking these images and would like to share them with you.
